Windows PC Optimizations for Roblox

If lowering the in-game settings isn't enough, the issue might be with how your operating system is handling the application. Use these Windows tweaks to give Roblox more "room to breathe."

1. Set Roblox to High Priority

You can tell your computer to focus its power specifically on Roblox:

 * Open Roblox and then press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open the Task Manager.

 * Go to the Details tab.

 * Find RobloxPlayerBeta.exe, right-click it, and hover over Set Priority.

 * Select High. (Note: Do not select "Realtime" as this can cause system instability).

2. Clear the Roblox Cache

Sometimes, old temporary files build up and cause "stuttering." Clearing these forces Roblox to load fresh data:

 * Press the Windows Key + R.

 * Type %localappdata%\Roblox and hit Enter.

 * Find the Downloads and Logs folders and delete everything inside them. This will not delete your game progress, only temporary files.

3. Adjust Windows Power Plan

Laptops often "throttle" or slow down your hardware to save battery.

 * Search for "Edit Power Plan" in your Windows search bar.

 * Go to Power Options.

 * Select High Performance. This ensures your CPU runs at its maximum speed while you are gaming.
